Pritex - Ideas and Solutions in foam and fibre

Technical Data
.
The Technical Data section has been developed to supply design and quality personal with certain detailed technical information about materials and products supplied by Pritex Ltd.

These pages will begin life with the majority of information still to compiled and presented in Web page format, but it is our intention that they will eventually be a valuable source of information to all technical, design and quality personnel within our current, and potentially new, customers.

Product Data - Specialised Acoustic Products

Product data sheets provide technical information about the common acoustic materials (individual and laminated composites) that are currently supplied by Pritex.
This list is not an indication of the full range of materials available, and Pritex is constantly looking for new materials, concepts and methods for acoustic absorption.

Audiprene
Audiprene is a flexible polyurethane foam with excellent acoustic absorption properties, as well as flame retardency which meets the requirements of most applications.

Auditex PU Coat
Auditex PU Coat is Audiprene, with a specially developed polyurethane coating which enhances acoustic absorption at certain frequencies and offers extremely good protection for the material against standard vehicle fluids (petroleum, oil, acids, alcohols).

Product Data - General Foam Data

Pritex has a vast range of cellular foams, including closed cell and open cell types.
The following tables give data on various physical properties for the common types available.

Specialised Grades
These foams are specifically designed for the automotive and industrial sectors.

Combustion Modified
Combustion Modified Foams (CMF) were originally designed to meet the UK Furniture and Furnishings Regulations, but their excellent properties, ease of conversion, and enhanced flame retardency mean that they are becoming an increasingly popular choice in the automotive, industrial and aviation industries.

Polyester Fibre

Pritex thermally bonded polyester fibre is available is a wide range of thicknesses, and can be specially modified to increase the high-frequency weldability. The material can be supplied in continuous roll form, perforated, cut pads, or pressed shapes.

Dimensional Tolerances - Flexible Foam

Pritex has used Statistical Process Control capability studies to evaluate tolerances to which flexible cellular foams can be cut. The table defines these tolerances at various sizes and thicknesses. Tighter tolerances can be achieved, but require additional resources (and cost) to maintain.
